Covid-19 Updates for Weddings at Hotel Kilmore
Right now we're all in unprecedented territory and trying to figure out how to navigate the temporary “New Normal” we’ve found ourselves in. We at Hotel Kilmore would like to keep everyone informed and reassure everyone that we are here to answer any queries, reschedule events and set all our customers' minds at rest that we are 100% committed to working together.
We’re all getting our information at the same time and we’re working to make sure we can accommodate all events that need to reschedule.
Sadly many of our couples have had to reschedule their special day and we understand this can be a very stressful time especially as it is out of your control but rest assured that all suppliers will be trying their best to accomodate you both once you have picked your new date. It’s difficult to express how much our hearts go out to every single one of our couples who find themselves in this position but we’re here to make things as stress free as possible. With that in mind we’ve put together some information that might help you along the way.
Postponing your Wedding reception:
Postponing your special day doesn’t change your relationship or your commitment to your partner. It’s a stressful thing to have to do but we’re all figuring this out together and from all the feedback we have been hearing all suppliers are working extremely hard to ensure all couples will still have their dream day.
Setting a new date:
Where possible, couples should line up a new date with their main suppliers, bearing in mind that the new date itself may be flexible. For example, if you reschedule for a date in August, venues and everyone involved should be prepared for that to be moved or pushed back again. We’re still in a developing situation so once you’ve secured a new date rest assured that we all know this may change again. Once you have a new date, you can get in touch with remaining suppliers.
Contact your main Suppliers:
The main thing to do is to make contact with all of your suppliers as early as you can. Prioritise these so you don’t get too overwhelmed, start with your three main suppliers you cannot see your wedding day without and see if they are suitable with our available dates such as ourselves, the registrar/ celebrant, and your entertainment.
Contact your remaining Suppliers:
We know first-hand how much time, effort and steps there are that goes in to planning a wedding. So the next port of call is to contact your remaining suppliers such as; your florist, transport, hair and make-up professionals, photographer / videographer, and your wedding cake provider. Check with everyone and see where you stand when it comes to rescheduling and their availability.
Updating your guests:
Of course, no wedding reception is complete without your nearest and dearest. You’ll need to contact your guests with an update, whether that’s with a new date or just letting them know that the current date isn’t going ahead. Many of your guests might not know what to say as these are such unusual circumstances but you might be surprised at how helpful and reassuring lots of your guests will be. These are the people you care about the most, who care deeply about you and your happiness, and the support from friends and family will be increasingly important over the next few weeks and months.
