Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail - Also nicknames as the stairway to heaven, located in Co.Fermanagh. The famous route meanders through one of the largest expanses of blanket bog. A steep climb is required to reach the viewpoint which provides walkers with breathtaking views of the Cuilcagh Mountain and beyond. The first part of the walk passes through a fascinating limestone landscape, continuing along the gravel vehicle track landscape starts to change to blanket bog where the unmistakable, flat-toppefd ridge of Cuilcagh Mountain is the horizon. The way is negotiated by a section of boardwalk, providing protection to the sesnitive blanket bog beneath. The final ascent is via a steep section of steps, not for the faint of heart! When you reach the viewing platform you will have an oppurtunity to take a well deserved break.
